I just installed a plugin that will X-post all my entries to LJ. Comment and let me know if you’re seeing this!

Oopsie!

Ignore the duplicate posts for now. I x-posted a couple of posts, but I’m working on doing a redirect from blogger to here so I needed the exact posts from blogger to be imported. Once I get the redirect straight, I’ll go through and delete the duplicate posts, just so I can be positive I’m not deleting the ones I need.

I’m also aware that any videos weren’t imported correctly, I’ll go back and fix that as well, again, after I get the redirect set up as that’s my top priority right now……..that and cooking dinner ;)

Gilmores are gone…

*sigh* The final episode aired last night. I was at work so I had to wait until it finally showed up online to download and watch it. At about 12 minutes in, I started crying and cried throughout the entirety of the episode. It was just so saddening to see it go, and so unsatisfactory. I decided that it might not have been so rough if we had known from the beginning of this season that this would be the last. It was just such a late decision, and I know they wrote it to be prepared for both a season and a series finale, but I think they could’ve done so much better had the decision been made a little sooner.

I feel dumb for being so attached, but I think it’s safe to say it’s fairly common for people to get really attached to at least one show, once.

Haha

It’s probably just me, but I find it sort of amusing that I opened a support ticket on PPP late last night and when I checked at lunch today it was ‘assigned’ and ‘in progress.’ It’s still in progress…I stumped ‘em. At least I know I asked a good question…

Oh Wii…

I want a Wii….really bad. When they came out, I didn’t really care. Then I played a little and thought it would be nice to have one, but I would never buy one. Well, then I got hooked on the damn thing. Josh, next door, has one and I got addicted. Of course, Josh is gone for the summer and he took the Wii with him!! Then PPP dangles one in front of my eyes, and of course they wait until they’re giving out a prize I really want before they decide you’re not eligible to win twice. *shakes fist* One of the others who won an AppleTV the first week won the PS3 last week. Grr…

Anyhow, I finally thought to look on eBay, and of course, there are tons on there, and there are so many auctions that start out with a $.99 starting bid, with $30-ish shipping and no reserve. So I was thinking a Wii was within my reach. Now I see all these bastards wait until the last few hours and jack up the bids to $200+. Come on now! Why don’t you just use one of the damn Buy It Now auctions listed for the SAME product and leave my happy little watched items alone! I WANT A WII!!! BACK OFF! =( I need to see my Mii. I need to dominate in laser hockey. I need to make the cows juuuuump! *sigh*

haha

Ohhh I love television. Just watched OTH from last week and it was a damn good episode. Lots of good fun–something they’ve been skipping out on for a while now. Of course they brought back all the drama at the end of the ep for good measure. Can someone please tell me why in the hell there’d be a FEDERAL investigation on a high school basketball game? Really though….

I’m ridiculously sad about Gilmore Girls being done. Even more sad that it had to be decided so last-minute so we don’t get a big dramatic, full sendoff. By the time I learned it was finished, there were only two episodes left. Tomorrow night is the last episode ever. Buffy was the first show I ever watched in its entirety. Through it all, I only ever missed one episode. It was the finale of season two and OMG I was in turmoil trying to find a way to see that episode. Even when it moved to UPN and we didn’t have it, I found ways to see it. One season it was waiting until the end and watching it all on VHS from a friend of a friend who recorded it all. After that it was watching crappy quality downloads up to two weeks later online. Luckily we’ve come a long way from that and now when I miss a show, I can get it in high-def on my computer as little as an hour after it airs =)

Anyhow, Gilmore Girls was the first show I attached myself to after Buffy. It’s been at the top of my list since day one and I’m so sad to see it go. On the off chance that anyone reading this is behind, I’ll put the rest of my thoughts behind the cut.

Oh Spidey…

Just saw Spiderman 3. Overall I liked it. There was one part where a character asks another character if they want a drink and this little 3 year old in front of us loudly exclaims, “No…” it was funny. I’ll put my complaints behind the cut….

Okay, so, I’ve bitched about our retarded availabilities plenty of times before, but here’s an example of its retardation–

Today, I was scheduled 1-8. I’m only available until 6 on Sundays. It’s been this way since January. Peggy has followed that, and the one time she scheduled me past six, I reminded her , and she fixed the schedule. Well, of course today when I get there and point this out, the whole time I was there, they try to turn it into being my fault and all the while I’m just chillin.

Whatever though. They tried to make it a big deal because apparently my availability in the computer doesn’t say that I’m only available until 6. Which, if that’s true, it’s from when Melissa changed my availability for me. S’ok though. I’ll come in Monday and fill out a new availability and we won’t have that issue anymore, and this time, if they try to give me crap about my summer availability, I’ll do what everyone’s been threatening to do and bring corporate into it ’cause I’m not about to let a part time job run my life, nor do I plan to let them run me off.

This week has really found me all over the place. Since the migraine I’ve had a ridiculously memorable experience at Vito’s (Rock and Roll Pizzeria). Andy, Spratt, Keri, Josh, Stacie, Austin and I all ate outside. This guy comes up, asking for a chair, and then apologizes for being wasted and proceeds to tell us that he just put his dick on the table inside the restaurant, thinking it would be funny but it didn’t go over so well because obviously he has a small penis. Somehow, that ended up being something like a 10 minute conversation, one that caused food-choking laughter.

After that, we all came back to Parkview and crowded into Josh and Andy’s where we played Scene It, Guess Who, Jenga, and ended it with Taboo. This is when we learned Andy Wood does the best Chinese impression, Andrew Spratt gives the best clues, and Josh Burke is a ‘dummy.’ Good times were had by all. It was definitely bittersweet considering it may be the last time we all hang out like that. Josh left Friday morning–he’ll be gone all summer. Andy leaves when the summer ends. I hope I get a few more nights of Josh and Andy time before it’s all said and done.

My new camera got here, quickly followed by my 2G memory for it! I’m really excited! It’s a fantastic camera and I can’t wait to start taking pictures! Once I get the apt clean, I’ll be taking pics of it; if for no other reason, than to show Jonathan that this apartment really was always messy because of him.

Work wasn’t so bad last night. Just no fun, obviously. I closed, then had to be back at 7am. Everything before lunch was pretty rough. The smoke is ridiculously thick in Valdosta right now so I started the day with chest pains and a sore throat from the night before of being in it, so it obviously didn’t get any better. Of course my head is also trigger happy right now as it’s recovering from the massive migraine earlier this week so severe headaches aren’t even a question right now. They’re just there. I didn’t get to go to lunch until 1, so by the time I got back, I only had two hours left, which is probably the only reason it wasn’t so bad.

After work was all the fun *sarcasm* We rented the Lowe’s truck and went out to pick up my washer and dryer. Let’s just say it wasn’t the easiest task without a hand truck. Much pain, many bruises and lots of frustration later, they were both on the truck with no damage to the house or those ridiculously crappy linoleum floors. We did really well with not getting agitated with each other. I was surprised! We usually bicker through difficult and frustrating tasks. Nothing serious, obviously, but you know how it is.

We had decided that once we got to the apartment we’d just get the two out of the truck and wait until we could get a hand truck to actually get them in, but luckily Landon was about and offered a hand, so now my washer and dryer are here, and in place, just not yet hooked up. I’m gonna give Ryan until I get out of work tomorrow to have that set ;)

A quick trip to Wal Mart and we finally got down to dinner, followed by a quick foot rub for me *swoon* and then Ryan took it upon himself to set up my foot spa at the end of the settee and get me all cozy while he set up the tv in our bedroom in its final location.

I’ll be heading to bed soon. It’s been such a long day. Tomorrow is a short one– only 1-6 and then I think I’m gonna take Ryan to see Spiderman 3. He’s dying to watch it.
