Well, for not knowing what I’m doing, I’ve gotten it all pretty far. I even got Kristi’s subdomain working! You can see her here.

I even made a favicon!!

This isn’t my permanent layout. I like it a lot, I just want something with a little less empty space. So be on the lookout for that! I’ll be importing my old blogs soon as well!

More to come, and hopefully quickly!

Hmmm

It would appear that I may have actually gotten this to work….I’m sure it’s all garbled and not where it’s really supposed to be….but it works!

Hello world!

God I’ve been so busy. Let’s see, lots of work. Moving Jonathan out. Moving to a different room. King size bed! *woooo* Shopping for impossible to find crap, more work, ridiculous pains in my feet. Annoying people. That was all Sat, Sun, Mon…. Tuesday I got up and had an amazing lunch with Catie, then we went to the mall to run some errands for her and I picked up a Mario tshirt and some Victoria’s Secret perfume. Then I came home and hung a bunch of stuff on the walls and then had some fun next door with the Wii. I had plans for the evening, but I came home and well, I’ll just paste my convo about what happened to me:

Jade says:
like, i was next door playing wii
Jade says:
came home, went upstairs to do this and that before you got off work
Jade says:
and i was folding up the sheet sets that don’t fit our bed and boom, my vision went crazy
Jade says:
it’s like tunnel vision with spots in front of your eyes at the same time
Jade says:
so i lie down and ryan holds my had for a bit and the throbbing starts
Jade says:
he leaves
Jade says:
i semi-dozed for like 45 minutes
Jade says:
and i woke up and boom, i can’t feel my left arm from a little above the elbow all the way down
Jade says:
then the whole left side of my face, and entire nose went numb
Jade says:
and then my whole mouth did, like tongue and all
Jade says:
and then that’s when the anxiety started settling in ’cause i got so terrified…with the numbness everything feels swollen too
Jade says:
and so i got freaked about either not being able to breathe, or finally really falling asleep and swallowing my tongue
Jade says:
i can feel everything again, and i’m back down to just severe throbbing in my head
Jade says:
but the tunnel vision won’t go away
Jade says:
and neither will the anxiety
Jade says:
the first time i got this shit, i got the tunnel vision, and then my nose and the tips of my fingers went numb
Jade says:
then the migraine came and that was it
Jade says:
ever since then, it’s only been the tips of my fingers, and sometimes my nose going numb
kt says:
this is insane.
Jade says:
not tunnel vision
Jade says:
this is fucking extreme
Jade says:
oh! and i forgot
Jade says:
about 20 minutes ago, i got this overwhelming static noise just hitting both of my ears
Jade says:
and now that keeps coming and going
Jade says:
it’s like i’m overrun with white noise or something
i had to come downstairs….i’m so overrun with anxiety that i can’t be alone
and no one is home so i had to come get on the computer

Thus the majority of my Bleh…those are migraine symptoms ladies and gents. All these crazy symptoms, the vision loss and the numbness are called migraine aura. Something like 1 in 5 migraine sufferers experience them, and I’m one. I hate it. On the one hand, it’s a great warning that the migraine is coming so I can take meds asap and try to get situated in bed in a dark room before it really hits, but last night was way too extreme. The bout with feeling like I was not gonna be able to breathe basically brought on an extended anxiety attack, minus the ridiculously fast heartbeat. You can read more about migraine auras and what causes them here. It’s crazy stuff.

I didn’t want Ryan to come home because that would’ve made me emotional, and the last thing you need to do with a migraine is sob, so Catie came over and sat with me and gave me some ativan, and I calmed down a lot. By the time I went to bed, I still had a lot of anxiety, but I no longer felt like the world was about to end. Today I’m pretty much okay, though I don’t know if I’ll make it through work. I can still feel the pressure telling me the migraine pain isn’t totally gone and could flare up at any moment and I still feel like my vision isn’t totally right. I really hope none of you have to deal with migraine auras. Ugh…

Goodbye Gilmores

I’m sad. I truly am. Alas, all the good shows must come to an end, I suppose.

In the end, they just couldn’t strike a deal.

That, in a nutshell, is the reason Gilmore Girls isn’t returning for an eighth season.

Multiple sources confirm that Warner Bros. recently made one final offer to Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel that included sizeable salary bumps for both in exchange for a shortened 13-episode season. As is now obvious, that offer was rejected.

The show’s cast and crew — many of whom assumed an eighth season was in the bag — are said to be in a state of shock. “Everyone was pretty blindsided by this and still processing it at the moment,” reports a Gilmore insider. “Talks must have broken down very, very recently because it came as one hell of a surprise.”

The good news? The May 15 finale was meant to serve as either a series or season finale. And having just read the script, I can assure you that it’s a satisfying conclusion to the series. As I previously teased, it brings Gilmore full circle.

The official statement is below.

“Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television’s most memorable, lovable characters. We thank Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino, Dave Rosenthal, the amazing cast led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as well as the producers, writers and crew for giving us this delightful gem for the past seven years. We would also like to thank the critics and Gilmore fans for their passionate support and promise to give this series the send off it deserves.”

Much more to come. In the meantime, post your eulogies below. Stay strong, guys.

I think I need brownies…

I’m gonna need the Pillsbury Spread and Bake Brownie Batter commercial to stop playing. I’m trying SO hard not to guy buy some.

Have you tried them yet? They’re amazing. I can’t distinguish any difference between them, and my favorite batter mix I use. No lie. I made some the night I cooked for Josh and Andy, and even after stuffing ourselves with all the yummy food I cooked, the brownies didn’t survive the night!

I need to stop talking about them or I’ll have no choice :-X

It’s been a successful morning, but everything has just required way more effort than normal. Apparently I’m tired, or something *shrug* My final was at 8 this morning. I was done and back at the apartment before I’m normally even awake. I waited around a bit for the bookstore to open and then headed over to take back some books. I had two different sets of Norton Anthologies (literature collections). I happened to find one of my receipts before I went over so I know for the used set I paid $64, I’m not sure what I paid for the new one; it was probably around $84. For the two sets together, I got back $65.50. They weren’t taking back my Sociology book. Book buyback is always so bittersweet– on the one hand, you almost feel like you just got free money, but on the other, you feel so cheated

After that I came back here and cooked up some hashbrowns, chunked and covered! They were delicious :) I may have some more for lunch.

Poor Jonathan, his parents are here, helping him pack, and his dad sounds pretty much psycho. He keeps talking to Jonathan like he’s 4, when he’s graduating from college Saturday. That would certainly piss me off.

That site, bid4prizes, I’m currently the lowest unique bid for the Wii that ends in about 6 hours. I’m sure that won’t last, but who knows? That’d be kinda…oh, I dunno, awesome maybe to win a Wii. I want one. I’d really like one. I just don’t think I could justify buying one.

I’m hoping to get paid on time this afternoon. I’d like to go look at microwave carts and such, otherwise, it’ll have to wait until Sunday night, or Tuesday. Oh! I found the bed stuff we’re getting, and the queen bed will be here this weekend so I need to get that order in so I can get the stuff here a.s.a.p.

Like? The red sheets aren’t included, but I don’t like those anyway. I can get just about any color sheet set and it’ll look great. Probably gonna go with bright colors. Ryan doesn’t really care about the sheets. He really likes the comforter and everything though.

I had something else to say about today, but I’m distracted now…

Digg Goes Down

Anyone catch all the fun on Digg last night? The way I understood it, the story went as follows– The HD DVD Encryption Key was dugg. No big, hacks and cracks can be found on dgg all the time! Well, Digg was asked to take it down, so they started deleting articles from digg that contained it. Everyone spoke out, so Digg blogged that they would no longer delete the stories, even if it meant that digg would end up getting shut down. At this point, they apparently started manipulating the number of diggs on these articles to get rid of them that way. It hit the fan after that. For a few hours, the front page of digg was covered in nothing but articles, mostly faked, about this encryption key. Eventually, the site went down!

I just thought it was funny…Damn the man! Viva la revolution ;) haha
