I forgot to tell you guys! The night I posted about us not having a roommate after Andrew moves out, I came home from work to find out that some things had gotten sorted out and Andrew’s younger brother will, in fact, be moving in with us. He’s even sending us a month’s rent in advance pretty soon just in case something happens and he doesn’t move in so we won’t be screwed if we were counting on that. I think that’s really awesome of him!
I’m really glad that’s been settled. Ryan’s friends have even offered to take a few furniture items off our hands for as long as we need them to, so that’s all settled as well.
Also, William is super-clean. The last two times he visited, he cleaned during the day while Andrew was at work…and I don’t just mean tidying, he cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom. I was in awe.
Also, one of his best friends from home lives in apartment 6, so he’ll most likely be hanging out down there.
I have no idea why, but I’m itching to file my taxes right now. I guess it’s just spillover from every other year. I’m so used to getting a refund, but not this year!
If I follow through with all financial reporting, I’ll owe almost $400. Luckily, my dad has decided to pay it for me–I really don’t know why because I never asked him to. We had a quick discussion about it all, and I gave him all my info from this year so he could compare my return if he filed me as a dependent or not. I checked myself, and if he didn’t claim me, I’d only be saving $100 on what I owe. I guess he’s getting a nice chunk of a tax break for claiming me so he feels compelled. I’m not complaining!
So I have to wait until his return is in his account so I can file mine and have what I owe taken out of there.
Even though I’m not getting a return, I’d still rather get it in asap so my rebate will come in in a timely manner. I’d like to get my glasses and stop worrying about them.
Something tells me these guys don’t know about laptop rental. Haha just kidding. This is hilarious! Have you guys ever checked out any of the Improv Everywhere stuff? I got into them last month when I saw the video for Frozen Grand Central. Over 200 people froze in place for 5 minutes. It was great!!
I’ve since watched all their other videos on that blog and Frozen Grand Central and the iPod Challenge ones are my favorites. I suggest adding them to your bookmarks to check them out sometime.
They’ve also done stuff like taking a huge group of people dressed in blue shirts and khakis into Best Buy, or freezing in place in Home Depot–oh and in Home Depot, at the end of their mission, Jewel’s “Standing Still” started playing in the store–it was too perfect! I seriously want to get in on one of their missions one day!!
Are networks getting that desperate? E! has picked up the series which will follow the family, minus the only member who’s actually famous….
Looks like it will be focusing on Lindsay’s mother and her 14 year old sister who is trying to get into the business herself.
Really though, without Lindsay making any appearances, how many people will be entertained by this? I really don’t understand how anyone thought this would be a good idea. Maybe making television shows is easier than I thought. Hey, let’s make a show about mortgage lenders! We’ll follow them around from start to finish–building people up with their pitches and bullying them into terms they don’t agree with! I bet that show could run….ohhh maybe 1/3 of a season. After that we’ll just toss in some reruns.
I could run television. All of it. I’d rather Kristi do it though.
Last night I randomly made my way to cuteoverload.com for the first time in quite a while. Twenty minutes in, someone linked me to a disturbing video that I couldn’t even watch once I realized the subject.
In the link I was sent, it was titled “US Soldier throws puppy off cliff.”
Seriously?!!
Fortunately it’s being investigated now and hopefully he’ll be dishonorably discharged and face criminal charges.
I’m not linking to it. If you wanna see that crap, I’m sure you can find it.
I really can’t do this anymore. I can’t get up and be at work at 6am once a week when the rest of my week finds no obligations until 11am. At work, they’ll quip that they do this every day–exactly. Your body is accustomed to this, mine isn’t. I try to go to bed earlier on these nights, but those are the nights my brain just won’t shut off and then anxiety creeps in and sleep never comes. Though, it does afford me an opportunity to watch stars desperately peddle acne treatment, as if they just really need that money…
I got 2 1/2 hours last night. Now I have to work until 3 and when I’m done there, I have to go to class. How will I do that on less than 3 hours of sleep? We may be cutting this day short. Text me some good excuses for leaving work early…
I think today I may compose a letter to Peggy, begging not to schedule me before 8am anymore. I know it’s only 2 hours, but those 2 hours mean even if I don’t get to sleep before 2, I can get five hours of sleep and I can work with that. I can.
Mhmm…it’s concert time! I’ll be seeing Lifehouse in Atlanta on April 12th and then in Jacksonville on April 14th. Oh what a weekend it will be!
We’re having a little Lifeho union/reunion in Atlanta and I can’t wait!! (Read: If you haven’t been around long enough to know what a Lifeho is, well, it’s not derogatory, it’s just a nickname, kthnx.)
I’ll be reuniting with Kristi, Katie and Trinity, and finally meeting Dara and Cayte. [Yes, that’s right Dara, we’ll get this all sorted out and you will be present and accounted for. Feeny demands it.] There will probably be others when the time gets closer and there are others already confirmed, but these are my fellow Lifehos that I’ve ‘known’ for umm…ever sounds good. That’s what it feels like anyway.
It’s all coming together pretty quickly now that I officially paid for my ticket! We’ve even got hotel arrangements covered and preliminary mastication plans! Of course, our hotel is nothing like the hotels Las Vegas has to offer, but we’re going to watch rock stars, we have no need to party like them in the hotel. Just somewhere to sleep and shower without getting diseases…that’s pretty much the extent of my requirements haha–besides, it’s only half a mile from the venue and that’s perfection! Half a mile is less than what I walk to classes every day–I’m set!
I’m gonna see if Mom and Roger will let me borrow the Garmin again for that weekend just so I definitely won’t have to worry about getting lost. I’d hate to let driving anxiety ruin my weekend. That’d tick me off.
And since this is the “Disarray” tour, here’s Disarray for your enjoyment…and mine. =)
Yeah, I can’t even say, “That was dumb.” I get it. Sometimes you really feel that way. I won’t lie, I’ve asked guys to drop patio furniture on my feet when they’re loading it, or down in lumber I keep telling Lee he can knock me in the head with a 2X4 and then drop it on his toe and we’ll both leave and I’ll buy him a steak! I don’t think they ever really realized I’m only like 1/3 joking.
There are some changes in positions right now that had the potential to be good, but instead it’s like we’re downgrading. I’ve vowed that if this change directly affects me often, I’m counting this as the final straw.
Ya know, I was scheduled outside my normal availability twice in these upcoming weeks. I pointed them out to Peggy and for one of them she said “Oh well that’s during Spring Break.” And? Just because I’m out of class that week means my availability changes? Maybe I’ve scheduled things around my normal work availability. To add insult to injury, the second mis-schedule was because another girl needed that day off so she just threw me in….too bad I’m “in class” during that time. Thanks for considering my boundaries when someone else needed accommodations. *eye roll*
As soon as I hit ‘publish’ on this entry, I’m firing off an email to inquire about a corporate human resources email address. I have a 1-800 number, but I have too much to say. I’d rather have time to think over it and be sure I’m articulating things in a logical way rather than just sounding disgruntled. I’ll get too caught up if I have to discuss it.
