Sweet Catastrophe

I can’t deny it, I love Valentine’s Day. I’m a little disappointed to be skipping gifts this year– not that I ever expect anything like sexy lingerie or jewelry…I just like to get some simple little flowers or a small token or something– really just anything that says, “Hey, I thought of you and wanted to let you know.”

I have to work alllll day on Saturday but I’m hoping to treat Ryan either to a late dinner or to lunch on Sunday to ‘celebrate.’ I just can’t seem to ignore it altogether. I know it’s pretty much a commercial holiday, but I love the idea of couples all over celebrating their love at the same time. Makes me smile.

Saturday was officially 3 years for Ryan and me =) We didn’t really plan any sort of outing since money is super tight right now– we just made it a point to spend the day together, starting at midnight. I had to work for a few hours as well on Saturday, but we still cooked dinner together when I got home and cuddled up just to talk for a while.

We both agreed it was probably the best anniversary we’ve had.

So in celebration of our three years together, I’ve got just a little list of some of the things I love most about Ryan/us. I’ll cut it for those less inclined to enjoy the lovey dovey stuff ;)
