And my aunt and dad even made a custom tag for the front.

It’s cute, but I’m not really one for having my name on my car so I’ll keep it for a few months and then retire it to my wall.

I absolutely love it! It’s a 2005 Jeep Liberty. It’s had one previous owner and it’s honestly in better condition than the Corolla was when I got it!

It comes to me payment-free, and guilt-free! I’ll explain: Daddy is paying for the Jeep, but after talking down the dealer (to $4,000 less than asking price—way to go Daddy!) he owes less than half of what he had to pay off on the Corolla. I do, however, have to pay my own car insurance, and being under 25 and having a truck driver for a father (it’ll be a while before he’ll accept me settling for cheaper insurance)I’m looking at $600 every six months, but he paid my first six months for me so I’d have time to save up, and I fully understand that with his job situation, he truly couldn’t afford to do both. I can handle it. I’m going to have to be tighter with my money, but that’s something I had already been working on in preparation for possibly making car payments, so I know I can do it.

This is where she spends a good majority of her day– either sitting so that I can’t see the screen, or sitting with her rear against my mouse so that I have to move it unnaturally far away just to use it.

(Note: You can sorta see her flap of extra tummy skin here. When she sits right she looks like she has cow udders!)

I also thought this was my chair. Again, what a silly human thought.

Yup, she’s delightfully comfy despite my ass in her face.

I made it through the wedding but by the time I got home, some of my injuries had started getting worse instead of better. My left shoulder, which hadn’t been bothering me at all, gradually started killing me. I was getting a really bad cramp in my knee any time I was still for too long and I couldn’t sleep for more than two hours at a time. Around the two-hour mark, everything would just get so stiff that I’d be in serious pain. I couldn’t even roll over in bed. I had to sit completely up and reposition myself.

So after finding out that I could still go to the doctor and have insurance cover it, I hit up the ER on Sunday. I decided on the ER because I don’t have a regular doc here in town and I knew they’d want to do X-rays so the ER seemed most logical.

It was an 8-hour trip–ugh. Anyway, after x-rays and everything, the verdict is that I most likely have torn ligaments and tendons in my shoulder and knee. He thinks everything else is just strong impact pain and probably some internal bruising. I feel that!

I’ve got a good muscle relaxer and a pain pill as well, so I’m mostly covered.

Almost two weeks later now and insurance hasn’t done much. There’ve been a few phone calls, but I really don’t think much progress has been made. I think my dad is starting to hassle them though, so that’s good :)

Most of the injuries have healed up. I’m still getting some random pains in my shoulder/neck area, but they’re nothing serious. My knees are still not doing so hot though. The knot on my right knee is healing very, very slowly. Most of the bruises have disappeared but there’s still pain with any pressure on the areas.

I thought my knuckle was just bruised, but it doesn’t seem to be healing at all…Ryan thinks it may just be jammed badly or something. It’s swollen, but being a knuckle it’s not really noticeable.

I’m car #2. The drawn in part is where my car ended up. I did almost a full 180.

The hood wasn’t actually on the car at the scene. It basically flew off–just still attached to the corner. It was mostly under the passenger side.
