I don’t think I mentioned it yet, but by the end of the year, I’ll have a lot of upgrades to my computer. I’m getting an extra internal hard drive for memory, a new video card and second monitor for a dual monitor setup (to watch movies and such while I’m doing other stuff), a second dvd drive and hopefully some more usb hubs. These are just the things that have actually been decided, along the way more things will inevitably get added in as well. Ryan’s done with his computer for now so he’s focused on mine and I’m just letting him go!
It’ll all take place over time since some of the upgrades are relatively expensive, so I’m not pushing for any of them; I’ll just wait until Ryan gets the whim to do them. He’s already down to really talking about the video card and hard drive and asking which one I want to do first. There’s already an extra monitor so that’s just waiting around. I think I’m gonna ask him to go ahead and bring that here so that it doesn’t find another use between now and then! I think I’m leaning towards the hard drive first. I’m getting more an more uncomfortable with using an external to house my music. It’s just a pain keeping up with them being connected to use iTunes and having iTunes revert to the default library location when it can’t find my external. I’d also like to have all of my pictures in one place and finally use my externals as simply backups, as they’re intended. I’m also planning to use some Snapfish coupons to make prints out of a good chunk of my digitals. I miss prints!
I also need to decide whether or not I’m moving my computer upstairs. It may come down to an old-fashioned Pros/Cons list. I keep wanting to get it out of the living room but I just can’t seem to make the decision to do it. So many reasons to move it, but there seem to be equal reasons for keeping it downstairs. *shrug* I’ll figure it out.
I’m awesomely excited about upgrading though! =D
