Dollars and Disappointments
So today was the first day of classes. We see where I am though. I looked into everything that was open that I could sign up for and had no luck. So today and tomorrow, I’m just checking registration every hour or so, waiting for people to drop classes. Wednesday, I’ll go around and work on getting overrides into some classes if I can. I’ve been able to get back into two classes (Bio/Lab) so that’s 2 down, 3 to go. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please! I’m so sick of getting screwed out of a decent semester just because VSU Financial Aid hates me or something…
I had to go to Best Buy and pick up a new cable splitter. Ours has been crapping out for a while now. Hopefully that’ll be the end of our issues, if not, you can bet Mediacom will be getting some angry phone calls from me!
I rediscovered the joys of the Dollar Tree today! I went in on a whim and discovered some of the better things they sell. Such as the same cheese sticks I buy (same brand and everything) there for $1, while I usually spend almost 4! I spent way too much time browsing the snack too. I couldn’t resist pickup up a bottle of Faygo root beer…do you know how long it’s been since I’ve had Faygo? Way too long.
thomas discovered the dollar tree for the first time the other day. he used to hate going into stores like that, but i always told him they were great. well, when he went in last week to buy stuff for his apartment (basics like a shower curtain, trash can, etc.), he discovered just how great and cheap it really is. so now he’s thrilled to go grocery shopping at the dollar tree.
you can get a really big thing of faygo there. it’s like 3 liters or whatever. i have no idea. it’s big as crap, and it’s only a dollar. great stuff.
and that really sucks about your schedule. i can’t believe they couldn’t make some kind of exception for your situation. what a load of bullshit.
oh well, if you can, take PHIL 3100 with me. i think that’s what it is. it’s aesthetics. yay!
Yup! It was 3 liters for $1! I was too excited. I always walk around going, “Oh! I wonder how much that is!” Then I remember…heh.
I’m trying really hard to avoid taking any classes that I won’t really get any credit for. I’m covered on most of my electives for each section. Unfortunately, I’m just in that spot where I’m limited in what I can take ’cause I’ve got some pre-requisites to take before I can get into everything else.
and you know what? i think that sometime this week, i’m going to make you a have a great day sign…a really pretty one. b/c no one does that anymore, and vsu fucked you over, and the past 2 weeks have been really sad and shitty, and damnit, i want to make you smile.

Funny story….So I’m at the financial aid office gettting the star treatment the other day. Then out of no where, this guy who seemed to be a boss of some sort makes an announcement that plan “keep jade down” was now begining. Everyone lets out a yell and claps. I mean the place lit up. True story So you suspicion might be right about them. :) See you at work.
Call them! Let them have it! No excuse for crappy service.

Mmmhmm!Farm rich, the same yummy cheese sticks I buy at Wal Mart. They just don’t come with the marinara, but I dip my cheese sticks in pizza sauce anyway!
