Sweet Catastrophe

I’ve been so out of it lately! For instance, all week long I’ve known I go to work at 6 tonight, but as of a conversation last night, I got it in my head that I had to go in at 3. I’ve planned my day around going in at 3. Going in at 3 means I get a lunch break, so I’ve even already packed my food and updated my iPod so I’d have something to watch during that break.

I was just thinking about how much of this episode of Smallville I’d be able to watch before I needed to leave and it hit me that I don’t have to be there until 6! I like those kinds of brain farts–they’re so much easier to cope with than if it had been the other way around.

So I’m starting on Smallville today. When it originally aired, I think I only watched season 1 fully, and then I watched bits of season 2. I think I got to where I felt like the stories were bogging down and I believe the lineup on the WB had changed and I just stopped watching.

I’m interested in some of the stuff I know it gets to later on, and Ryan really wants to see it all as well so I had downloaded it for him. He’s about half through season 3 now, so I figure I’ve given him enough head start ;)

We went to Chili’s last night with Keri and Andrew. This was only my second time going to Chili’s and I’m still not all that impressed. I know Chili’s is awesome, but I’ve yet to pick the right thing on the menu to prove this to myself! The Awesome Blossom was awesome though, so there’s that.

After dinner Ryan and I drove around for a while, which I always love to do. We have the best time when it’s just the two of us, no distractions. Anyway, beside the point; we were wasting time before we went to see Superhero Movie. Now, I’ll admit, I actually wanted to see this. From some of the previews, I saw a lot of potential. I should’ve known better. Really, I’d rather watch Balls of Fury again than see Superhero Movie once more. It was horrible–not even worth reviewing. Just know, it was total shit.

I’m looking forward to a weekend full of work! No really, 1-10 and 8-5. I really hate when I get those shifts back-to-back. I’m gonna crash so hard Sunday night if we’re anywhere near as busy as we were yesterday.

I’m off most of next week though and I only have 4 hours of classes total. I’m off work Monday thru the next Monday….maybe even Tuesday–don’t remember, except Friday. I work next Friday. I’m gonna look tonight and see if there’s someone I might be able to switch with and work on Monday so I don’t have a random day of work in the middle of my week off.
