11-14
I declare this week over…
Tuesday night, after working late, I drove to Douglas and let the babies completely wear me out before crashing on my mom’s air mattress and getting no sleep.
Wednesday was Granny’s surgery. I spent 12 hours at Coffee Regional Hospital sitting in various chairs and lying on the floor. Thankfully, the surgery went way, way better than expected and there’s no reason to think she won’t make a full recovery. Goodbye to that stress.
But while in town I found out my uncle’s wife died. I wasn’t close to her, and I’m not close to my uncle, but regardless, a death in your family always affects you.
Thursday was work all day again.
Friday I got up at 5 a.m. after about an hour of sleep for Jesalyn’s surgery here in Valdosta. The drugs they gave her beforehand made her absolutely hilarious. I’m glad I could be there for her, but jeeze I was exhausted. By the time her surgery was over and we picked up her pain meds and got them back on the road home, it was time for me to eat lunch and then leave for work. After work I hung out with some friends, watching The Office and I made it to sleep around 3. I was up for 22 hours.
So after a week of not sleeping at all, I finally crashed and slept.
I’m officially done with this week and just really, really hope next week is better.
