Sunday I spent the afternoon at my mom’s, teaching her how to do stuff on the computer and stealing all her pictures and videos of Jesalyn. She and Roger took me to eat at Wong’s, which was an adventure in itself considering Roger isn’t a big fan of Chinese food. Plenty of laughs there. Mom’s fortune cookie was fortune-less. Then on to the fun! Jesalyn was really tired, but she was still the cutest little thing ever. Mom got some more clips on her digital camera, but since they’re all so short, I pieced them all together to make a little video. First there are clips of her drugged up on allergy meds–she can barely hold her head up, then there’s Christmas where she kept wanting to play with Drew but he didn’t like her squealing and drooling, after that is just her being cute in her walker, then my favorite clips–first we have her jumping like a bunny, she LOVES to jump, second to jumping though is sitting on your knee and rocking herself back and forth, but Sunday she starting acting all crazy and shaking her head with her mouth open. We think she was looking for something to chew, but she looks like a little baby shark having a conniption fit. She did it like 15 times and I finally got Mom to get it on camera. Finally, there’s me putting her to sleep. Ignore me, I didn’t know she was recording, she was supposed to be just taking pictures. (oh yeah, and ignore all the ridiculous sounds made by anyone to make her laugh…I dunno how to edit sound using windows movie maker) So here that is:
And you can look at all her adorable photos on Facebook
So SETC (Southeastern Theatre Conference) is this week so Ryan left for Atlanta last night. I think will be the longest we’ve been apart since we started dating. I couldn’t get off this weekend so I can’t head up until Sunday night. I was hoping to get up there Friday night to join some of the theatre partying, but I’ve got to work allll weekend, including a 7am Front End meeting on Sunday before I work a 9 hour shift and then drive the almost 4 hours to Atlanta. Monday we’re gonna drive up to the mountains and spend the day and then Tuesday and Wednesday we’ll just chill in Atl and come home Wednesday night. I’ll probably hang around town the rest of the week unless I can finagle some niece time in Douglas. I’m off through the weekend so St. Patty’s partying will be a must this year! I just ordered a shirt that says, “Irish I were drunk.” It should be here well before next Friday.
As for this week–the rest of the apartment complex should be cleared out by tomorrow since everyone else will be gone to SETC as well. I’d be the only one here if it weren’t for Andy and Josh who both decided not to go this year so I’m cooking for the 3 of us Thursday night. I think I’ll go buy a ham after work tonight to bake for tomorrow. That’ll be yummy.
I suppose that’s it.
Oh!! As for the subject/title today, look up the previews for Meet the Robinsons. You’ll laugh. A lot.
