It’s good to be alive–A.M.

So first the badness at the front of my mind. I got a flat last night on I-75. Only 25 miles from my exit. Luckily Ryan was just ahead of me, and luckily we were on the phone so he was able to stop just a short distance in front of me. Of course, I’m lucky enough to have a flat spare as well. So, after no less than 30 minutes on the phone trying to find out the number for Alltel’s roadside assistance, we finally get a tow truck. I really would’ve thought that tow trucks would have better shocks, but nope, it was the bumpiest ride of my life. Of course I’d had a sinus headache since we left Atlanta. Of course I had various aching muscles and pulled another one trying to get into the tow truck. Of course I had to pee. Miserable ride. Driver wasn’t very friendly….or very awake. I honestly kept waiting for him to take out another car with the way he kept driving in two lanes and looking like he was going to fall asleep. So, I’m really thankful to be alive ’cause my tire didn’t just go flat, it BLEW. Looking at my tire now, it almost looks like someone slashed it. It’s cut open from the outer wall to the rim. I know I’m lucky. I know that, but I also know that I’m broke now. Beyond. $115 tow, and now I need two new tires ’cause I can’t afford to be left without a spare again. Also about $50 in bills, $40 meds, gas, and rent has to come out of this check because my check at the end of the month will have my spring break hours. I was saving up for a new digital camera next month and a concert. Nevermind. Means I can’t go out this weekend for St. Pat’s either and I was looking forward to that. I never go out. *sigh* I wish tires grew on trees.

Anyway, the rest of the Atlanta trip was nice. I had a rough drive up on two hours of sleep and 12 hours of work Sunday, but I made it. Monday we went to the aquarium and the coke pavilion. this is the last month the coke pavilion will be open; next month they move over next to the aquarium. of course i had some beverly, I don’t know why, but it’s mandatory that you drink the most godawful coke product ever when you’re there. If you’ve ever been there, you know what I mean. They had vanilla coke!! Ohh that made me so happy. I miss vanilla coke so much. I was hoping maybe they’d sell some in the gift shop but no such luck. The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful, but fun nonetheless. Lots of napping, for everyone, which was nice. I finally had Coldstone ice cream. I was impressed. Had some yummy homemade food too.

Now I’m home, with homework and dishes and laundry and ramen noodles (I had plans to eat good food since I wasn’t broke…..). Yayyy spring break. Someone send me a bottle of wine. Moscato d’Asti. Thanks.
