Valentine’s Extravaganza

Wednesday night, it got really cold so the heater came back on. It’s impossible to even out the temperature both upstairs and down, so upstairs the heater was running and the ceiling fan was on. Never the smartest combination.

So of course, Thursday I woke up with sinuses from hell. Basically consider the flu, minus the fever, add in a little bloody sneezing. I’m miserable.

Ryan was working so I tried to nap all day–funny thing is, I was dreaming about our night to come and in my sleep, all my symptoms were that much worse! Same thing last night as well–how’s that for ‘resting’?

Anyway, Ryan’s best friends closed on their new house yesterday, so they wanted us to celebrate with them by taking us all out to Gulio’s –Mediterranean Cuisine, one of the more expensive restaurants in town, and taking us out to a movie. Being college students, we couldn’t exactly turn that down.

Dinner was fabulous! We shared a liter of homemade sangria and just really had a good time. The sangria took care of my stuffy head for me ;) For a while anyway. We missed our original movie time, but went to see Jumper at 10. [Click for my review on Aftershocks]

We took a little tour of their new house and ended up back here where I got my chocolates (assortment he picked out at a chocolatier– I got some rocky road pieces and huge peanut butter cups and caramels!!) and Ryan and I crashed and watched part of the Jeff Dunham dvd I bought for him. And here I am!
