Well with message boards you come to expect a certain level of dumbass-osity, people seem to feel more empowered to be jerks when they don’t think they’ll ever have to actually seen any of these people; but even with my normally high tolerance and ability to overlook, I’ve just had the incredible urge to slam my head into my desk about every 20 minutes or so…it’s just like an influx of the “duhhhhh” disease or something.

I don’t think it’s just pre-holiday stress. People are just becoming more rude. This society has lost its ability to be civil and polite. It’s like the internal censors are broken. There is also no personal accountability anymore. Everything that happens is always someone else’s fault. As far as message boards, I find that to be true of every single one I’ve joined. It’s why I don’t participate in them much.
